High Temperature Springs

Cross Manufacturing has developed a process to manufacture high
performance 'piston' rings from a powder metallurgy alloy, Incolloy
MA956. Used to provide near-to-static seals on gas turbines, these rings
offer an impressive degree of 'springiness' and good corrosion resistance
when exposed for long periods to air at temperatures as high as 1,100oC.
Cross is now seeking other potential applications of this spring material.
